Education

True to its mission the Centre is committed to communicating its scientific discoveries and passion for chemistry to the wider community.
Free radical chemistry impacts our daily lives without many of us realising it. A basic understanding of chemistry and free radicals is helpful when considering retail decisions regarding food and beauty products, environmental decisions relating to climate change and even decisions about prescribed pharmaceuticals.
Therefore the Centre aims to educate the community by making its researchers available to talk about, demonstrate and run hands-on chemistry activities in Universities, secondary schools and at public events.
