Professor and Chair of Preparative Macromolecular Chemistry at the University of Karlsruhe/ Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.

• Director of the Centre for Advanced Macromolecular Design, UNSW (2007-2008).
• Postdoctoral Fellow (2000-2002) University of New South Wales (UNSW).
• PhD (2000) the University of Göttingen.

• Synthesis of complex macromomolecular architectures via living/controlled radical polymerization.
• Development of novel polymer conjugation protocols.
• Polymer reaction kinetics and mechanism.

• Development of novel processes for controlled/ living radical polymerization.
• Access routes to complex polymeric materials/ orthogonal conjugation.
• Surface modification of polymeric materials.
